Ellie Cope is from the Bay Area, CA, and spent time in Boston at Berklee College of Music and New York City at The New School to study songwriting and music production. She has been playing multiple instruments and composing songs since she was 8 years old, and played venues such as The Fillmore and Bimbo’s before she was 14! Heavily influenced by Rock, Jazz, and R&B, she pulls from many different genres in her teaching, and often incorporates songwriting into lessons. She has been teaching music and songwriting since early high school, and teaches students aged 4-70 years old. Her philosophy is to teach what students will want to practice and be excited about playing, making sure to cater to each individual so all lessons to ensure maximum growth and FUN! She is a surfer, a gardener, and is in multiple San Diego bands including her personal project, COPE. She teaches guitar, bass guitar, piano, ukulele, voice and songwriting.
