Elizabeth Bowersox, soprano, holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Colorado Boulder. A native San Diegan, she grew up studying voice and piano while performing in local musical theatre productions. Studying with baritone Andrew Garland, her focus in college was classical art song and opera performance, but also trained in musical theatre repertoire and technique. Elizabeth performed in many opera productions, premier choral groups, and studied music theory, aural skills, piano, and foreign language diction. Her education has equipped her to teach with the “whole musician” mindset: the understanding of how music works on the page and in the body. She stresses the importance of vocal health and longevity, while working with students on appropriate repertoire for their voice type and experience level. When Elizabeth isn’t listening to music or practicing, you can find her on her road bike, practicing yoga, or at the beach!
