Rachel Hsieh

Rachel is a classical musician who has been studying piano for 17 years and began teaching 4 years ago. A native of San Diego, she has won numerous competitions in Southern California, including the H.B. Goodlin Competition and the Grossmont Competition, to name a few. A recent graduate of UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music, she holds a B.M. in Piano Performance and is a passionate individual who enjoys teaching of all ages. Her main goal is to spread her love and knowledge of music to other people! Whether you’re looking to learn pop songs or dive into the repertoire of famous classical musicians such as Beethoven or Chopin, she’ll make sure your learning experience is fun, with the help of her red T-rex stuffed animal, Olli! She is patient and understands that every student has different styles of learning and different needs! In her free time, Rachel enjoys dancing urban hip-hop, baking, and long hikes on the beach.
