Michael Cerqua (30) is a local musician from LaSalle, IL, where he makes a living performing for bars, venues, private parties, weddings, and teaching private music lessons. Michael comes from a very musical family, his grandfather was a Jazz sax player, and his father is a blues guitarist/singer, not to mention other family members who are also musicians. Mike got his first guitar and started taking lessons from his dad at the early age of 5, and from then on, music has been his life. At the age of 16 Mike started teaching private guitar lessons at his family owned music shop. Having gone through many musical phases, Mike is able to teach most kinds of music with ease but prefers playing blues. When he’s not playing gigs, or teaching lessons, Mike is a Music Director/audio engineer at Tyler Hill Camp in Pennsylvania, this would have been his 3rd year but due to Covid 19 the camp had to close for the summer. Being both laid back, but somewhat technical, Mike is sarcastic, fun, and a great choice for starting you on your musical journey!
