Matthew Cloud

Matthew Cloud comes to us from Tolono, Illinois where he began singing contemporary, jazz and classical voice competitively. Currently, Matt is an active and passionate performing artist in the Chicago area and member of his co-founded contemporary a-capella group, QB. Most recently, he opened for country music hall of famer Reba McEntire, performed with the Game of Thrones live tour and Leonard Bernstein’s Mass with the Chicago Children’s Choir. He is involved in his fraternity as Treasurer and Advisor to many students at Elmhurst College, and has recently been awarded Outstanding Performer at the Elmhurst College Jazz Festival. Matt has performed in masterclasses with the New York Voices, Janis Siegel, Eric Whitacre and L. Subramaniam. In addition to teaching voice, Matt self teaches guitar and piano. Matt’s teaching is structured and formulated to each individual’s needs and based on the philosophy that practice makes progress! He holds a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Business, with a Minor in Music Production and Vocal Performance certificate from Elmhurst College and will be finishing his MBA in May 2021. Matt enjoys NBA basketball and living in Elmhurst, IL with his girlfriend, Lexi and her cat Herbie.
