Jamisen Collier is from Charleston, South Carolina. She began taking piano and organ lessons at a young age, and attended an arts middle school for piano. During her college years, she became an active participant in ensembles: accompanying church services, as well as the university’s chapter of the music fraternity SAI during its performances. Throughout her four years at Furman University, Jamisen took piano lessons with Dr. David Gross and organ lessons with Dr. Charles Tompkins. Jamisen recently graduated with a BA in music and history and moved to the Dallas area. She loves living in Texas, and especially taking her family’s puppy, Pepper, to the park.
