Sarah Stevenson

Sarah Stevenson calls from Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she began singing opera and jazz voice competitively. Right now, Sarah is an enthusiastic performer in Chicago, IL and is a student at the Chicago Academy for the Arts where she studies voice intensely. Recently, Sarah has attended summer intensives with the Juilliard School for two years in a row, has competed and placed in voice competitions such as Scmidt and Classical Singer, performed at jazz clubs, and has professionally performed with the Ursa Ensemble in Chicago. Sarah will also perform in her school’s AIDS Benefit, airing on November 1st! Her teaching philosophy is creating a safe space where her students can grow, and enjoying the learning journey! Sarah has performed in masterclasses with Ryan McKinny and Ana Maria Martinez. She also has a deep interest in philosophy and is almost fluent in French. Sarah enjoys living in Chicago with her family, her four cats: Eggs, Batman, Peeps, Porker, and two dogs: Pippin and Dino.
