Dana Kotkin

Orange County, California is home to Dana. Eight years in the Southern California Children’s Chorus afforded Dana a childhood outlet for musical study and performance. By middle school Dana auditioned and commenced her studies at the prestigious Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) where she graduated in 2016 from the Classical Voice Conservatory. Dana’s dedication to music continued through her years at the University of Redlands. Dana’s belief in music as a healing force inspired her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Music and Psychology. Dana also studied voice internationally while completing studying abroad during her final semester in Salzburg, Austria.

By graduation in Spring 2020, Dana accumulated deep and diverse musical experience. She has performed in ensembles and as a solo artist in the classical, jazz, pop, musical theater and rock genres.  Dana’s accomplishments include the place she earned in the prestigious California State Summer School for the Arts vocal program at Cal Arts and her experience taking master classes with Alison England. One of Dana’s most memorable experiences was service as a counselor at the one of a kind “School of Rock” summer camp teaching voice and music theory to kids ages 5-13. Dana is trained in the method of Speech Level Singing, and has been favorably evaluated by world renowned vocal coach Seth Riggs, the inventor of this technique and coach to stars Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, Josh Groban and many others. Today, Dana works on her songwriting and is preparing to professionally produce her musical work. In addition, Dana works as a behavioral health professional, and anticipates using music as a tool to heal her patients.
