Bobby Lyles has lived all over the southeastern United States. He started learning to play the saxophone in the sixth grade through school band programs. He plays tuba in his church orchestra and has played in community bands in the past. His private teacher in college was Dr. Wayne Fritchie, a graduate of Julliard. Bobby went to college at Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, FL where he received a BS in Music Education and an MA in Music. Since graduating, he has taught band instruction and private lessons to students in schools in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and now Tennessee. For 21 years, he has successfully taught students to play flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, horn, baritone, trombone, tuba, and percussion to students from 8 years old to adults. He has developed a teaching style that is structured but his personality is laid back. Music should be fun. This is Bobby’s 5th year living in Murfreesboro, TN. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Trina, and their children, Robert and Jessica.
