Dante Dorantes

Dante Dorantes grew up in Santa Barbara, California, and discovered the saxophone and his love for jazz at an early age. He has played the instrument for the past 20 years, and this love for saxophone and music has allowed him to be a part of ensembles that have played at Carnegie Hall, the Reno Jazz festival, private parties, weddings, and local parades. Dante’s influences are Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, and all the legends of the saxophone who prove that diligent practice can make you soar on your instrument. Currently, Dante is studying rocket propulsion and space engineering through USC’s Masters program, and also enjoys hiking, exploring San Diego, and listening to good jazz.
