A Los Angeles born native raised in Montebello, California, Joseph Quintana was introduced to drum set & percussion studies at the early age of 9 years old transferring his talents throughout middle & high school to find himself studying at Citrus College in Glendora, California. There he would begin the journey of his adult career as a percussionist, studying many genres of music and playing in a number of settings including: musical theater productions, big band & small group jazz ensembles, top 40’s pop rock cover ensembles, orchestral & symphonic ensembles as well as Latin & World percussion ensembles. He would tour to Oahu, Hawaii for 4 summers to perform a residency at the Sheraton Waikiki with the likes of Melissa Manchester & Jimmy Borges, performed on a cruise to the carribean with artist Charles Bilingsley & has also performed numerous weddings, private events & company parties at country clubs and hotels. Joseph would teach drum set at local music schools throughout Los Angeles & San Bernardino County until he was joined onto a charter school system that hired him to teach 6 periods of world percussion classes, drum set studies & pop rock ensembles. Joseph now teaches piano, ukelele, bass. guitar, drum set & world percussion.
