Sam Durazzo

Originally from the Bay Area, Sam Durazzo started playing guitar professionally at age 18 in New Orleans, LA. He studied Jazz Guitar at Loyola University New Orleans, and has studied with Julian Lage, Dan Balmer, Don Vappie, and Michael Wynar. He currently plays in a number of professional cover bands, and is the musical director at Berean Baptist Church. Sam has taught guitar and bass since he moved to Portland in 2018. He teaches his students how to enjoy the process of learning an instrument. As a result, his students learn entire songs from start to finish, and can perform them effortlessly. Sam teaches the important fundamentals of music, while keeping his lessons fun and informative. His students experience the joy of playing and learning guitar.
