Timothy grew up in SD and is a guitar teacher at Horizon Prep in Rancho Santa Fe since 2014. He learned guitar back in college at UC Santa Barbara until being introduced to classical style at Mesa College where the melody, rhythm, and the baseline are played on one hand to makes the guitar sounded more like a piano.
Timothy perform gigs at churches, weddings, funerals, and private parties. Over the years, the students at Horizon Prep have taught him an important lesson: never underestimate what they can achieve. It is very exciting for him to see the kids making progress from week-to-week and how much fun they are having playing their favorite songs. Many students have found the guitar as a friend for life. Timothy is inspired by musicians such as: Christopher Parkening Andrew York, Doyle Dykes, Tommy Emmanuel, & Kent Nishimura. Timothy has a BS engineering degree and a Master in Information Systems.
