Jiaxi Liu was born in China, where he began to study violin at age of 6. Jiaxi was admitted to the Affiliated High school in the Conservatory of Music due to his exceptional talent, where he won the First Prize in “Qingyang” Live TV Competition at age of 17. After completed his bachelor’s degree at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Jiaxi was accepted by Louisiana State University with a full scholarship, where he played in Rapides Symphony Orchestra, Acandiana Symphony Orchestra, and Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. Currently, Jiaxi is a doctoral candidate at the University of North Texas. As a teaching assistant at UNT, Jiaxi participated in many performance events and played Concertmaster in the UNT Symphony Orchestra for years. In 2017, he won the UNT Concerto Competition and presented a winner concert. Most recently, Jiaxi was invited to the Aspen Music Festival and played in Aspen Festival Orchestra. In addition to his achievement in violin performance, he is also competent in music theory and studying music theory as a secondary field. By having multiple private students for a long period of time, he enjoys teaching students by helping them with technical difficulties and working on their long-term goals.
