Nicholas Jimenez hails from Sunny San Diego, California where he began studying the piano at age 12. He began his journey with piano lessons by taking lessons from a private instructor, then advancing to major in Piano Performance at San Diego State University and graduating with his bachelor’s. Nicholas has travelled the globe to countries to compete in and win piano competitions in Hong Kong, Italy, and Russia. Nicholas has received instruction from numerous piano masters from around the world including Rebecca Penneys, Baruch Meir, and Karen Follingstad. Nicholas has also given multiple masterclasses at teaching festivals in Florida and San Diego. He has been teaching for 7 years now, and teaches all ages levels of playing ability from beginner to advanced. Nicholas believes that, “whatever your goal is for learning an instrument, make sure the foremost reason is to experience the joy of playing, and I will help you with the rest.” He loves to also compose music and loves to help any of his students learn how to as well. Nicholas enjoys his new home here in San Antonio living with and taking care of his father, while he enjoys golfing and swimming on his downtime.
