Alan Clark

Alan Clark hails from Spokane, Washington, where he started playing drums at the ripe old age of 6, and was given his first of many guitars at the age of 12. Joining his first professional band at the age of 18, he was touring the Western States by age 21. Several years, bands and projects later, Alan moved to Springfield, OR . There, he learned many event production skills while pursuing writing, recording and live performance. Alan has performed in opening acts in support of such bands as April Wine, B.O.C., Head East, Robin Trower, Nazareth, Quiet Riot and more.

Alan’s drumming style can best be categorized in two words…John Bonham. He’s able to instruct in the following genres: Rock (Led Zeppelin, JP, BOC, BTO, STP, VH, The Monkees…etc.), Funk, Country, Country Rock, Blues and some Metal.

Alan’s guitar style is very diverse and he can teach in the previously listed genres as well as Latin and Smooth Jazz. He teaches lead and slide-guitar to intermediate and advanced students. Alan now lives in San Diego, loves the beach, and is available to teach private or small group lessons onguitar, bass guitar, and drums by implementing recordings of your favorite songs, as well as call and response type drumming and fretboard work. All lessons are taught in a spirit of fun and patience.
