Born in Fairbanks, Alaska and raised in Houston, Texas, Ben Franklin emerged into the entertainment industry at a very young age. He was dedicated to the initial knowledge he received from his mother, who was a traveling, world performer for the legendary BB King. The influence allowed Ben to learn the grassroots of Soul Music. By the age of 12, he self-taught himself how to sing and play the piano by listening to songs being played on the radio. At the age of 16, he formed a Jazz quartet group along with other kids from his high school jazz class . A few short years later, Ben followed his dreams by taking his raw talent to Los Angeles, California. Here his career accelerated full force. Ben’s teaching experience dates back to his days working in Los Angeles working as staff composer songwriter, as he began to teach private piano and voice lessons part time 15 years ago. Ben has found great joy in sharing his musical knowledge and theory to those young and old.
