Giselle Nguyen

Giselle is a young professional classical pianist with 17 years of performing experience. She is pursuing her Master of Music in Piano Performance degree with a Graduate Piano Fellowship at Longy School of Music under the guidance of Steinway artist Dr. Spencer Myer. Prior to her Master degree, she was awarded a full scholarship to study Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance under the guidance of Dr. James Martin. She graduated with a Cum Laude honors and distinction in Music major. 

During her study she has taken part in several piano competitions including the New York Piano Festival & Competition and 2nd Chopin International Piano Competition. She has performed in various solo and chamber recitals in the US and UK as well as performing as a soloist with the Cornell symphony orchestra. Having attended New York University’s Summer Piano Intensive and British Isles Music Festival of Royal Academy of Music with a full scholarship, she has had masterclass and studied with world-class pianists including Jeffrey Swann, Marilyn Nonken, Eteri Andjaparidze, Eduardus Halim and Ian Brown. 

A compassionate and dedicated teacher, Giselle shares her relevant music talents, insight and techniques with students. She has a patient, individual needs-based approach, and makes learning piano motivating and enjoyable.
