Grace Brega

Grace Brega grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, where her love for music and nature was formed. She began her domestic and international opera career with Vanderbilt Opera Theatre, Festivale Lyrique-en-Mer, and Festival of International Opera playing roles such as Mary Crawford in Dove’s ‘Mansfield Park’, Clorinda in Rossini’s ‘La Cenerentola’, and Suor Dolcina in Puccini’s ’Suor Angelica’. She studied under Gayle Shay, Peter Volpe, and Jennifer McGuire. She’s received awards from MTNA, NATS, as well as the Julius and Magda Lachs award from her portrayal of Lady Billows in ‘Albert Herring’. Currently, Grace is pursuing a certificate from the New England Conservatory in Acoustic Vocal Pedagogy, as well as working at the Church of the Resurrection in Franklin, TN. She received her BM in Voice Performance from Vanderbilt University, and is a member of both MTNA and NATS. Outside of music, Grace enjoys espresso, embroidery, and cuddling with her cat, Sokka.
