Jack Dermody

Jack Dermody has been a teacher of languages, employee practices, and music all of his life and in many countries. Born and raised in Southern California, he owned his own music school there before moving to Arizona in 1992. People know him as a high-spirited entertainer at festivals and club settings—featuring combos in which he plays accordion. He has played with the Antelope Valley College Orchestra. He was president of the Arizona Accordion Club from 2006 to 2014. The artists who inspired him musically include Dick Contino and Myron Floren. He has a Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics from UCLA. Today he provides corporate seminars in several states. Music is pure joy to Jack and he encourages all students to practice with an eye on finding their own joy at all levels of it.
