Kenneth Lindsey is a passionate and caring instructor who loves working with students of all ages and thrives on making lessons a great experience. He began taking piano lessons at six years old and started composing music at age 12. During high school, he taught piano lessons along with other music jobs such as piano refinishing and music engraving. He received a Bachelor of Music Composition degree from Biola University in California. While in college, he continued engraving, was hired to compose music for musical plays, taught piano privately, and directed the music at his church. After college, he started a music program throughout south Texas that offered group classes in a variety of instruments. Kenneth has 20 years of private lesson teaching experience, along with 10 years of band and orchestra teaching. In addition to piano, he teaches flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, saxophone and percussion. He teaches a wide variety of styles, depending upon the student’s interests and level. These styles include classical, modern (i.e. Disney/pop), composition, improvisation, and many more. His students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn. He lives in San Antonio, where enjoys sports, fitness and traveling.
