Mitchell Selib is a 23 year old guitarist, composer, and educator currently living in Boston, MA. In 2017, Mitchell graduated from Berklee College of Music, where he received his BFA in Performance, studying under notable instructors such as Mick Goodrick, Hal Crook, Greg Hopkins, and Jerry Bergonzi.
Primarily a performer, Mitchell routinely performs throughout the New England area and has appeared at notable venues like The Regattabar, Scullers Jazz Club, the Berklee Performance Center, the Beantown Jazz Festival, the Louisville Jazz Festival, and the Newport Jazz festival with musicians such as Terence Blanchard, Sean Jones, and Jerry Bergonzi.
An experienced educator, Mitchell has been teaching guitar and general music lessons to students of all ages and abilities for the past 10 years. Mitchell strongly believes in teaching to a student’s strengths and learning style, as opposed to following a strict curriculum, and teaching to a student’s strengths.
