Oscar Cabrales

Oscar Cabrales was born in Durango, Mexico and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He began learning classical guitar in high school where he was part of the touring guitar program. He participated in high level high school ensembles, winning several competitions against other chamber ensembles from across the country. Oscar is currently a part of RNQ (Rigid Nails Quartet) who competes and performs across the valley of Phoenix. He has performed masterclasses with Andrew York, Matt Denman, Trio Camino, Brasil Guitar Duo and other noteworthy artists and is now studying at Glendale Community College in pursuit of a BS in Music Education. Oscar is skilled in teaching classical and contemporary music, and is open to any musical genre his students wish to learn.
