Stephen Berry brings vast experience as a distinguished studio and performing musician in his role as a trombonist in the Chicago music scene. He is also proficient in teaching other instruments like tuba, trumpet, sax, clarinet, and flute. He has performed and recorded with many well-known celebrities including Ramsey Lewis, Tony Bennett, Lou Rawls, Frank Sinatra, Diana Ross, Lena Horne and, most recently, serving as horn contractor for Aretha Franklin at Ravinia. As a highly regarded music educator, Stephen conducts private and group instruction, workshops and student ensembles. He currently serves with Roosevelt University’s jazz faculty and as a board member with the Live The Spirit Residency, a community arts organization known for the highly acclaimed Englewood Jazz Festival.
