Stephen Buckman

Pianist and Composer Stephen Buckman began playing piano at age 12. He graduated Berklee College of Music in Boston with a degree in Piano and Film Scoring.  John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, and many other composers are some of his greatest influences. He is an avid soundtrack collector with a almost 1,200 CD soundtracks in his collection. 
In 2006 he composed an independent horror movie titled, “Eamon’s Road” and in 2007 he composed music for the documentary film, “The Times Were Never So Bad: The Life of Andre Dubus.” The film premiered at The Rhode Island International Film Festival, where it received 1st prize. The film was an official selection at The New England Film Festival. From 2013 to 2016, one of his original piano pieces aired nationally and internationally for an online university television commercial. 
Stephen has been teaching piano privately for seven years and in 2017-2018, taught Kindergarten to 4th grade. He is very patient, punctual, and understanding with children and adults.
