Teresa Murphy, originally from Brunswick, Maine, began singing Irish folk songs, and shifted to classical voice lessons in High School. After graduation, she spent a year teaching music in Perú and Venezuela, where she co-founded a music education program, called “Latidos” or “Heartbeats” (est. 2015), which continues to serve over 150 Venezuelan youth today. Teresa returned to the U.S. to complete her Bachelors Degree in Music and Spanish at College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA (2019). Teresa is now a Masters student of Voice Performance and Pedagogy at Arizona State University, and performs in school operas, choral concerts, and solo recitals.
