Tyler Christiana was born and raised in Louisiana, spending most of his life in New Orleans. It was there that he discovered his love for music, particularly guitar. Growing up in a musical household, with a mother who was a touring gospel singer, learning the instrument was hand-in-glove. As a teen, Tyler performed in a variety of bands, worship groups, and choirs and began honing in on his skills and considering pursuing music as a career. In 2012, Tyler moved across the country to Los Angeles where he attended Musicians Institute majoring in guitar and production. A few years later, he moved back to Louisiana, bringing his skills and experiences from MI along with him. Tyler was so inspired by the great musical minds that taught him that he likewise decided to become an educator. Tyler taught in full-class settings with 30-40 guitar students of varying age groups, as well in a private one-on-one setting. During evenings and weekends, Tyler formed several frequently performing groups and began his career as a touring guitarist and vocalist, traveling and playing all across the gulf coast. During this time, Tyler focused more diligently on one-on-one private lessons while continuing to develop his career as a performer; a student base which he has continued to grow for the past several years. In this time, he had the pleasure of writing and producing with a band out of Nashville, Tennessee with names such as Dave Mustaine and Marti Frederikson. He has also shared stages with legends such as ZZ Top. Guns N’ Roses, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Seether. Tyler has since moved to Phoenix, Arizona and is continuing his love for teaching and music by offering private and group lessons to students of all ages in the Valley. In his free time, Tyler enjoys spending time outdoors or at live music events with his wife and their bloodhound Lily.
